Am new in this city, and stumble in this place by chance ,I was recommended the fish and chips, it was a great suggestion best dish I've had in this area. Not to mention the vibe is good and the staff and people seem to be friendly.
Great place near the stadium to watch a game.
I read a review saying the Philly cheese steak was dry and thought maybe it was a one off, it wasn't. My Philly cheese steak was dry, flavorless with lots of mushrooms and peppers and very little meat. The onion rings were soggy and undercooked. I'm so mad because I paid $17 for lunch that I can't eat, I'm starving.
Fish and chips was delicious. Sliders (cheese steak and buffalo chicken also great). Drinks were well poured, not overly boozy... loads of tvs and willimg to let u choose what to watch.
Service with a smile. Good place to start or end a round of bar hoppin.
Visited Wednesday 8/10/22 at around 12:45pm for lunch and cocktails. Me and my friend walk in and stand to wait to be seated. Then after about two mins of standing, the bar tender shouts to us that we can take a seat anywhere. We would have done this in the first place had there been a sign telling customers to do so. Pictured are the mozzarella sticks, fried chicken sandwich with onion rings, and buffalo chicken wrap with waffle fries. Food took a little long to come out. Mozzarella sticks 8/10, they were hot and fresh. The breading could use some seasoning. I like how they garnish it with Parmesan cheese. Chicken sandwich 6/10, I’ve had better. And the onions rings were not the best. Barely any breading on them. The waffle fries were great! I did not try the wrap, my friend ordered that. The alcohol was great! The atmosphere is your usual sports bar. Plenty of TVs. The bartender was friendly and attentive! The restaurant is average sized and they also have outdoor seating.
The parking isn’t the best. Small parking lot on one side of the shopping center. The other side says it’s permit parking only, tow away zone. There is a pay for parking lot across the street. It’s worth checking out but I personally wouldn’t come here again; it’s mediocre.
Went there before panthers game vs vikings Sunday. Got there at 10am. Place was packed. Called Saturday and asked when they would open Sunday and the lady said 10am. Music so loud you couldn't scream your order. If you was lucky enough to get one of the frantic workers to help you. It was a free for all. We did manage a food order, a couple drink orders, 135 dollars and a hour and half later we was struggling to get to the door through the crowd to the welcoming open downtown streets. Will not be back. Probably a great place for anyone seeking out a load overcrowded bar.
As a new resident of Charlotte my first experience here was great. But my second experience wasn’t the best. I first came in and sat at the bar. And was never served, I first thought? Maybe because its busy. As I look around I’m only African American sitting at the bar. As time goes past a kind gentleman next to me had to bring it to the bartenders attention that I haven’t been served. It was very shocking to me as I sat directly in front of the cash register. At this moment I was purposely not being served which was shocking to me in 2024. Not sure if this bar would be my first sports bar I would go to .
So, i used to work in this building when it was Draught (miss those days) and also when it was Clutch (under former owners) and I must say the new management and owners have done a great job with the space and improved the quality of food. I typically stop in Wednesdays during lunch but will also swing by as a pregame spot on my nights out.
Today i discovered my new favorite menu item, The Steakhouse Salad. If u you sure lucky you’ll catch Katie behind the bar who is awesome.
